Thursday

   Just got some good news today. I am going home Thursday morning. I can't wait to get home and see Cuddles. Chat with everyone when I get home.

Another day

 I had another vistor last Saturday.He is such a cutie.

 I am thirsty after such a long ride,

Things are starting to looking up as my white blood count is up to .3 as of Monday. I get a nypgon (sp) shot everyday until my white cell count gets up to 3.5. I don't know when that will be. They also found a virus in my blood yesterday and this is the antibioctits.(sp) This what it looks like.

  Sort of looks like orange juice. I think they gave me a couple of full bags.

  I also got a couple units of blood. Now I am getting......

Now I am getting some nutrition through a bag.

Just got some good news today. My white count came up to 1.2 today. I may get to come home this saturday if everthing continue to improve. I need to get out and so some walking and they want to my diarehia under control. My Physical therapist is supposed to come in later today and push my IV cart while I walk long. That is all for today.

Visitor

  I had a cute vistor last Tuesday. Her name is Sophie. She is a palmorian.

 She is a cutie. I told her owner she could leave her with me. Anyway I am still doing well. My white blood count was down to 0.7 on Tuesday. On Wednesday it is down 0.1. No change on Thursday. I haven't got my results in today. They come in around 4:30 to 5:00 am to wake me up and draw my blood. Lately I have been going back to sleep after they take my vitals and draw my blood. What this means I have no immune system right now. I have to put on a mask, gloves, and a gown when I go walking in the hall. It is a short hallway that I can walk in so I try walking at least for 30 minutes. Normal white blood cells are 3.5 to 10. It was up to 8.2 on Feb 6th. I am sure they will be this morning and let me know. I will let you know then. Everybody have a great day.  Amanda my cute student dr. just came in and my white count is still 0.1. Will get a nuphgon (sp) shot today and then my white count will start coming back up. It takes a few days for the shot to work though.

Happy Valentine

 I hope everyone has a great Valentine day. I got my valentine pj's on again. I will probably have them on all week.  Had a funny thing happen to me Saturday night (Sunday morning) . I think it was funny anway. I got into a fight with someone and rolled myself right out bed. I didn't hurt myself. thank goodness. Well now I wear a yellow bracelet that says FALL RISK. I have some fall flowers on my door show them falling. Guess that is what I get for telling the nurse. I even had the side rails up. Leave it to me and fight with myself.

I want to thank everyone for cards, phone calls and messages. They mean a whole lot to me. See everone later on. Time to go walking for 30 minutes.

Cuddles Visit

   Marla and Cuddles came up to today and visited me. Cuddles didn't like Jim my nurse for today. Cuddles would growl at him. Not sure if  the scrubs he was wearing or what. Maybe he thought Jim was going to harm me, or he thought Jim was a vet. We had a great visit. Hopefully they will make a return trip next Saturday.

Cuddles says he is tried and needs to rest from the long ride. I think he just liked laying on my Iowa Snuggie and having his belly rubed.

That's all for today. I am still doing great and feeling good. I walked up and down the hall for 30 minutes tonight.

HAPPY T-TIME

I had my transplant Friday and I am doing well. They started around 11 am and gave me a full 6 pack. I got back 6 little packets of my stem cells. I watched my first 4 packets flow in and then took a little nap while  I got the last two packets. They were all done about 1:30 pm.. That  small bag of pink is my stem cells.

They just hooked up to my IV and let it flow back into my arm. When all this was going on the nurse's brought me in a CERTIFICATE and sang a song to me. I should have grabed a photo of everyone, but they took me by shock and had me in happy tears. They signed it also. They are really treating me great up here.

But before all of this a had a happy visitor. No it wasn't Cuddles but a another cute guy.

His name is YUKI and I got to feed him some treats. He is such a beautiful dog and well groomed. I would hate to have to groom him all the time.

The lady has another dog that will bring up next week. I can't remember his name right off had, but you can be sure I will have photos of him also. Can't wait until Cuddles gets here in a few hours. I had better get some sleep.

Wednesday Night - Thursday Lunch

   Had a bad night Wednesday night. They were pumping me so full liquids I was up going potty about every hour. I thought I would never stop going. I am not getting as much fluids tonight so I should get a better nights sleep. Had a nice lunch today consisting of a BBQ sandwich, peas, Lays Chips, and some ice tea. BBQ sandwhich was reall awsome. I was shocked it has so much flavor to it. It really made day. Will have meat loaf tonight. (2 slices) Mashed potatoes, gravey. mixed vegatables, chocolate ice cream, and some decaf ice tea. Maybe I will sneak down later and get me a popcicle.

  Somebody remind me to order some ketchup with my meatloaf. Dry meatloaf is terrible. You have to order confiments with your meal.

Friday they are starting the stem cell transplant. I hope it all goes well. Time to put on my mask now and go for a walk. Thanks everyone for your prayers, phone calls and Letters.

Another Day.

    I decided to make my bed a little Tuesday. I could not help it Bill and Stephanie but this how you make a bed. You have to have a HAWKEYE Sungie on your bed. Nothing with Iowa State on it.

Just had to give you a bad time.

I didn't get my taco's Tuesday but I had to get a taco salad and some tator tots. Wished I had gotten more then 8 of them . They were good for what little few I got. I had a chocolate pecan tart also. That hit the spot. Everything is going great so far.. Nurse's aren't beating up on me to much. 

French toast this morning with some bacon and hash browns. Now what is for lunch?

 Feeling great so far.  I am leaning on fish sandwich right now, but it will see . Wondering if they will have some french fries, to go with it. Darn I can't find any french fries on the menu. Guess I will have to order a double does of tater tots.

Monday Morning

Nothing really exciting happened Sunday night except they brought my supper tray right at halftime so I didn't have to miss any of the football game. This is what I has for supper, but I am loosing weight.

 I had some hamburger rice Casserole and mixed vegetable's and some ice tea. Gotta have some ice tea and some fruit drink.

This is my little fridge where I came keep my cold drinks and popcyles in. Lots of movies up here to rent for free you can watch also.

Happy Sunday!

   Got my breakfast ordered and now I am just waiting on it. I ordered a Southwestern Frittata, Canadian bacon, tator tots and some ice tea. I have never had a Frirrata so I am anxious to try one out. Hope everyone has a good Sunday. I will post of photo of it once my room service gets  her.

   Fell asleep  around alseep about 7pm and slept most of the night. Woke up around 5 am and decided to stay up. Had some french toast for breakfast, and it hit the spot. Had a oatmeal raisan cookie also and some ice tea. Going down and getting some sprint since I have taken my well desrerved shower now.

This was my nice breakfast this morning.

February 4th.

 We got to Iowa City around 10:30 am this morning. My room wasn't ready so we did a little walking around the hospital. We didn't travel to far as we didn't want to get lost. Finally my room was ready, and we got things put away. The nurse's came in and they they were ready to put a pick line in. I wasn't ready for it, but my friend Mary tied me down on the bed so they could get the pick line in. Really, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Then I had to answer some questions for the nurse. Before I was done answering the nurse's question they came in strapped me down in the wheel chair so they could take x-rays of the pick line to make sure it was in correctly. Came back to my room my friend gave me some lunch. Starting eating it, and then nurse came back in to ask some questions and check my body over. Mary left short after that, and I came back to my room to the book "letters from a skeptic" by Dr. Gregory A. Boyd. Didn't even get 1 page read when they came and got me again to take me down for a EKG. Took them longer to get me down there then to the EKG. Now I can rest for awhile before the start the chemo tonight.  I already am missing my little guy Cuddles. I guess I will have to enjoy this photo of him. I will add more if anything exciting happens tonight.

Febuary 3, 2011

  My friend Mary Bradish is going to take me to Iowa City Friday. I will be there anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks. Will even try to post some photos while I am there, if I can figure things out on this blog. I don't have to be there until 11 am Friday. That I will have time to have some breakfast somewhere. All prayers are welcome. Sorry about the photo that is sideways. I have tried turning it but it doesn't want to turn for me.. Will work on it later tonight. Anyway it show Marla, I and Cuddles was in Eurka Springs the fall of 2009 on out bikes.
